OHENS JOSEPH, MONA AL MANSOURI, MOSTAFA HADHOOD, OTHERS HONOURED AT THE 2023 VOICE ACHIEVERS AWARDS IN THE NETHERLANDS

The Voice Achievers Award 2023, a splendid celebration of exceptional accomplishments, resilience, and the vibrant African culture, unfolded in a dazzling ceremony at Victory House, Almere, The Netherlands, on September 29th, 2023, marking a highpoint in the Voice magazine’s 24th-anniversary celebrations. The preceding day, September 28th, 2023, witnessed the commencement of the event with a Business Forum titled, “Harnessing our diversity towards the advancement of Africa.” Distinguished speakers delved into diverse topics concerning conducting business both in Africa and with the continent, while s discerning audience actively participated in these discussions, culminating in the launch of a special publication, the “104 Inspiring Africans in the Netherlands,” by the Voice magazine.

The illustrious Dr. Mona al Mansouri, a renowned fashion icon and entrepreneur from Dubai, Dr. Dayo Duyile from Nigeria, Dr. Mostafa Hadhood from Egypt, Zaineb el Kadiri from Morocco, and Engr. Ifeoluwa Oyedele, inducted as Patron of the Voice Achievers Award, were among the distinguished recipients celebrated at the 13th edition of the Voice Achievers Award.

Dr Mona al Mansouri, celebrated for her exceptional commitment to her work, was lauded as an individual with a heart of gold. Her impassioned remarks during the ceremony earned her a standing ovation from the captivated audience.

She expressed her profound joy in supporting and empowering youth, thereby contributing to the betterment of the world and the realization of dreams. Dr. Al Mansouri pledged to leverage this accolade as a catalyst for further transformative initiatives. She appealed to those blessed by God to join hands with organizations like the Voice magazine to bolster support for the less privileged.

Dr. Mona further pledged her commitment to future celebrations, with a promise to sponsor a global Fashion Show in honour of The Voice Magazine’s 25th anniversary. She also extended her support to the forthcoming award ceremony in Egypt, an idea proposed by Dr. Mostafa Hadhood.

Another remarkable highlight of the evening was the induction and recognition of Engineer Ifeoluwa Oyedele as the inaugural Patron of The Voice Achievers Award Inc.

Another noteworthy highlight of the evening was the Africa Courage Award presented to the philanthropic Dr. Joseph Ohens. Dr. Ohens’ exceptional acts of philanthropy resonated deeply with the audience, and his recognition was met with widespread applause and admiration. He narrated how he and his team in United States of America has raised the sum of 1.5 millions dollars to execute 7 new projects in his former secondary school, ACCIOBA in Nigeria. Some of the projects to be commissioned on 21st October 2023 includes Ultra modern hostel complex, Principal house, Corpers Lodge, School library, 20 bed medical center, Staff quarters, Water schemes, new pave roads and college fences among others. 

Among the other distinguished awardees were distinguished personalities such as Dr. Joke Bakare, Her Excellency Shaikha Dr. Fatimah Tagwai Aji-FMCA, GOOA, Dr. Pauline Long, Dr. Barryl Biekman, Dr. Ernst Josef Franzek, Kalin Modev-Krata Holiday, Dr. Beatrice Lukose, Nikki Samonas, Fester Imoh, Godian Ejiogu, Madelon Grant, Ingabire Delphine, Rev. Dr. Raffic Osman, Sainey Jabbi, Lucy Den Teuling, Nyima Jadama, Amos Odhiambo Onyango, Haidy Bijnaar, Aichetou Mefire Njoya, Patience Odeh-Gerrits, Sir Nikolay Sharkov, Vice Versa Global, Caroline Omondi-Pouw, Philip Kahindi Kadenge, Malaika Oringo, Babah Tarawally, Lara Gureje-Oderinde, Jerry Fisayo Bambi, Dr. Aminu Musa Audu, Princess Monivi Amamieye, Winifred Uloaku Gaillard, Nelson Samuel Carrilho, Joyce Adams, Nice Lengéte, and Marylyn Marthins.

The event was further enriched with captivating performances by Djembe Band Zamana from Cameroon, Uniekgrace, and Donna Daniel, an 18-year-old Nigerian-Dutch rap artist. Mr. Ikechukwu Mcdonald Azuatalam and Angela Unufe-Kennedy, the co-event presenters, received commendation for their stellar contributions to the evening’s proceedings.
